Preface
With the rapid development of the global 3C polishing industry, users are placing increasingly high demands on the mechanical performance of polishing machines. High precision and high efficiency have become key indicators for machinery manufacturers. In response to these industry trends, FINGER CNC offers excellent solutions tailored for the polishing sector.
Process Overview
Equipment
Main Mechanism
Based on a standard milling machine (XYZ axes), the structure is expanded with multi-station mechanisms.
Each station is equipped with independent small Y, small Z, and small C (rotary) axes for motion compensation.
Key Functional Features
Workstation Mechanism Introduction
Each workstation is equipped with pressure sensors to provide real-time feedback on the force applied to the workpiece.
Based on this data, the controller adjusts the servo axis control to ensure stable pressure during polishing.
Programming is done for a single station (Station 1 as reference), while all stations operate synchronously.
Stations are activated as needed, performing simultaneous movement and pressure compensation.
FINGER’s controller replaces traditional mechanical transmission structures, enabling accurate transmission relationships and multi-axis synchronization.
Advantages include high transmission precision, wide transmission ratio range, simplified structure, and easy adjustments.
From the current position as the starting point, each axis performs reciprocal motion in both directions for more uniform polishing.
Programming Example:
To prevent over-polishing at corners, the system includes an X-axis slip function.

Controller Advantages
FINGER systems support both MECHATROLINK-III and EtherCAT bus communication protocols. Compared to traditional pulse control, bus control is faster, more stable, easier to maintain, ensures real-time system performance, and improves control precision.
